Guitar/Ukelele/Mandolin Lessons
Small Group Guitar Lessons
NOTE: This is not affiliated with my position as Youth Director at Our Saviour’s. I am offering these classes as a guitar player/instructor, not as an employee of O.S.L.C.________________________
Private instruction, and Group lessons available!
Instruction for either guitar, ukelele or mandolin will be from basic/beginner to intermediate. Each lesson will consist of songs and exercises, as well as activities/materials for practice outside of class. The class will be kept small (no more that 6 students) so as to maintain an effective teaching atmosphere. Each of the lessons will begin with 20 minutes of “catching up,” in which we will see where we are all at with a particular skill or song. The latter portion of the class will consist of introducing new skills and techniques that increase in level of difficulty with each class. Guidance and instruction will be provided to each student in a way that challenges them and encourages them to grow. Each student must provide his/her own instrument.
When: On a scheduled basis as determined by confirming with me.
Where: Celebration! Campus, 919 S. Washington st. Naperville. Youth Room. For private lessons, I may come the student’s home.
Group Lesson cost: (no more that 4 students) $20 per 1 hour class.
Private Lessons cost: 1/2 hour lessons: at $20. 1 hour lessons: $35
My Experience:
- 11 years+ playing the guitar.
- 3 year member of SweetWine, traveling Christian band at Valparaiso University.
- Accomplished music writer and performer with band “Filler.” 2 cds recorded.
- Have taught several people beginning stages of Guitar playing.
