About

26 years old, and living in Chicago, this is the first time I’ve ever lived in this area.  Those that know me would be quick to point out that i grew up in the near by Chicago suburbs, and that its not true that I’ve never lived here, but let me clarify: after 25 years of life, this is the first time I’ve lived here.  Or, better yet, after 25 years, this is the first time I’ve lived here.

While it is true that I grew up here, I think we can all agree that they are two very different things, growing up and living an adult life.

To that note, the stories, reflections and moments that you will find on this Blog are the stories of how I’ve found life in different parts of our magnificent globe.  Interactions with people, nature and God over the past 7 years have led me to have a deep passion and fascination for cultures and diversity, and these writings are the closest thing to a record of this transformation that I have.

It is very important for me to note, however, that these stories are not things that I have done.  These revelations are not things I’ve thought up, and these moments are not my own.  You will notice as you read that if not by the prompting of someone else, almost all of these happenings have unfurled with what started as a subtle sensation, feeling, or vibe; something that I believe is very much not my doing.  So, please, as you read, do not make the mistake of assuming that these happenings are reserved for the lives of only certain people.  Much to the contrary, we all partake in these moments on a daily basis.  Our noticing them is simply a matter of how much of your mind and heart you are willing to reserve for the experience of that which can’t be explained.

Thank you so much for sharing in this conversation with me.  Let’s be more attentive to life.
